An elegant antique Victorian giltwood over mantel mirror

With a gently arched top and an elaborate crest of scrolling acanthus leaves, flowers and a central shell motif

The slender frame is enriched with delicate foliate decoration and beaded detailing, with decorative scrolls terminating at the lower corners. Warm, aged gilding and softly mottled mirror glass lend the piece a rich antique character.

A graceful statement piece, ideally suited to placing above a period fireplace.
