French Mantel – 19542
A very finely carved antique Louis XVI style fireplace in softly veined Carrara marble
The break-fronted moulded shelf sits above a beautifully carved frieze, depicting a laurel wreath and trailing sprays of foliage, this is flanked by acanthus paterae end-blocks, which in turn rest above acanthus console jambs with pearl beading.
