A handsome antique French cast-iron jardinière dating from circa 1870, of rectangular form

It is distinguished by a gently flared rim, fluted panels and an ornamental scrolling band, centred by a finely cast wreath and foliate motif. A rope-pattern border defines the base, which is raised on elegant scroll feet.

The richly weathered surface has acquired a warm, earthy patina, accentuating the depth and crispness of the casting while preserving its distinguished antique character. An imposing and decorative addition to a garden terrace, courtyard or conservatory.

Can be fully restored and painted a selected colour if preferred.
