An elegant antique Italian giltwood mirror in the Rococo style

With a richly carved gilt frame surrounding a rectangular mirror plate. A prominent pierced shell crest crowns the design, complemented by sweeping scrolls, curling foliage and small floral details.

The gently undulating sides lead to elaborate scrolled corners and a matching pierced shell ornament beneath the glass. Warm gilding, subtle surface wear and light spotting to the mirror give the piece an attractive aged character—an impressive decorative feature for an overmantel, reception room, hall or even bathroom.
