Large painted wood – W179
A large and magnificently carved painted walnut fireplace with grey Bardiglio marble interior
This antique fireplace was made in England during the 1860’s in the Renaissance style.
The dramatic console jambs with lion masks, acanthus leaves and paw feet, supports a break-fronted cornice shelf.
A large cartouche centre tablet is flanked by acanthus leave frieze panels.
The aperture is framed by a carved and arched toped ‘Dove grey Bardiglio’ marble interior.
