Inlaid Mantle – 19512
An antique statuary marble fireplace with scagliola work in the manner of Pietro Bossi
With fluted pilasters and frieze panels, reeded mouldings and finely inlaid scagliola end-blocks and centre tablet.
Most likely from the workshop of Sharpe and Emery, Dublin. A workshop responsible for producing this style of neo-classical marble fireplace in Ireland between the years of 1860 and 1920.
