White marble – 19569
A large and grand antique French Louis XV Rococo style pure white statuary marble mantlepiece
The deep moulded serpentine shelf sits on an incredibly ornate frieze, profusely carved with acanthus leaves and centred by a beautifully carved scallop shell cartouche.
The canted jambs with scrolled consoles that are decorated with bell-flowers, acanthus leaves and scallop shells.
Each section of the fireplace is carved in the solid from a block of the finest statuary marble.
