Greek key – 19467
An antique Statuary and Connemara marble fireplace from the late Georgian period
The white Italian Statuary Carrara marble frieze is inlaid with Irish green Connemara marble forming a continuous Greek key pattern. The flanking square end-blocks are finely carved with neo-classical decoration, these upheld by the tapering console jambs, each inlaid with five flutes of Connemara.
