Cast Iron Fireplace – CI095
A Victorian cast iron fireplace titled “Peace and Plenty”, made by the Coalbrookdale foundry in Shropshire, England during the 1880’s
It features two classical female figures, draped in robes. On the left is Peace, holding onto a dove and extending an olive branch. On the right is Plenty, holding a jug of wine and an overflowing cornucopia, the symbol of abundance and nourishment.
The fireplace have been finished in a Farrow and Ball grey Plummet paint, but can be finish a different colour if preferred.
