A finely carved antique Louis XVI fireplace in a warmly coloured Statuary Carrara marble

The moulded shelf sits above a beautifully carved frieze, depicting a laurel wreath trailing sprays of laurel to ether side. This is flanked by acanthus paterae endblocks, which in turn rest above acanthus console jambs.

The side returns with raised and fielded panels.
