An outstanding and rare pair of Irish, late 18th century Statuary Carrara marble chimneypieces

The tall and elegant tapering pilasters are finely carved with neo-classical ornament, the classical urn centre tablet is flanked by fluted panels and carved end-blocks.

Both fireplaces are exactly the same size and are in a similar, very good condition.

In the manner of and probably by George and Hill Darley, stone-cutters in Dublin between c. 1757-1813.
