French Fireplace – 19416
An antique French Louis XVI style Statuary marble mantelpiece
The frieze is very well carved with vitruvian scroll decoration, at either end of the frieze are finely carved floral tablets. The slightly scrolled console jambs under the floral tablets are fluted and terminate with carved plinth mouldings.
Made from Italian Statuary Carrara marble with subtle grey veining.
