Convex Mirror – AF080
A fine quality antique English Regency giltwood convex mirror
The original convex mercury mirror is set in a reeded ebonized frame, which is surrounded by musket ball ornament. An eagle perched on rock-work is flanked by two stylized dolphins. The apron is crisply carved in the form of acanthus leafs.
Original makers label on the back, Patrick Fenlon of 62 Great Britain Street London, a documented and important maker of mirrors during the Georgian period.
