French Fireplace – 19168
Louis XV Rococo Style Rouge Royal Marble Fireplace
A large and well carved French Louis XV style marble fireplace. The frieze has a foliate scrolled shell cartouche, whilst the jambs having angled consoles are richly carved with scallops and descending bellflowers. A moulded serpentine mantelpiece follows the curved outline of the frieze.
French marble fireplaces of this size and quality are difficult to source.
